Andreas Preller

Andreas Preller (born April 21, 1942 in Bürgel ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and a former member of the Thuringian state parliament.

Life and work

Andreas Preller is married and has two children. After attending primary school from 1948 to 1956, he completed an apprenticeship as a car mechanic. He graduated from the workers 'and farmers' faculty in 1962 and began a six-year course to become a mechanical engineer. From 1968 to 1990 he worked in industry and in the service sector. In the year of reunification he became an employee of the Treuhandanstalt.

Andreas Preller joined the SPD in November 1989. From 1990 to 1999 he was a member of the Thuringian state parliament , where he moved in on the state list. From 1990 he was a member of the SPD local executive committee in Gera and was district chairman of the SPD Gera from 1991 to 1994. In 1996 Andreas Preller became chairman of the Gera district association of workers' welfare .
