Septimius
Septimius (or Septiminus ) was one of the numerous anti -emperors in the Roman Empire of the 3rd century AD. In most of the manuscripts of the Epitome de Caesaribus his name is given with Septiminus, in the Codex Urbinas and in Zosimos , however, he is called Septimius.
He was proclaimed Roman emperor in Dalmatia around 271 . His revolt against the incumbent Emperor Aurelian quickly petered out and he was killed by his own forces.
