Sergio Rossi (director)

Sergio Rossi (* 1939 in Rome ) is an Italian film director .

In 1968 Rossi made the provocative theses-like film Policeman (like all his films based on his own script), which was shown in some cinemas three years later and then devoted himself to documentary film. For this and for television he created works such as La terra non trema , Fatua incongua scucita and Storie di vita . In 1989 his second feature film, Liebe auf Raten, was shown at the Locarno Film Festival , in which the loneliness of three young women is portrayed with feeling. In 1997, La medaglia , a political story from Turin in the 1950s, was released in cinemas , which is highly valued by critics but tended to be overlooked by the public .
