Serhat Doğan (born July 8, 1974 in Cologne ) is a German actor and comedian of Turkish origin.

Career

Doğan was born in Cologne and left Germany with his family at the age of six and grew up in Turkey. He attended school in İzmir until he graduated from high school in 1996 . From 1996 to 2003 he studied sport at the Ege Üniversitesi there . This was followed by his first theater work in Turkey. In April 2004 he came to Germany with almost no knowledge of German, where his sister Hülya Doğan-Netenjakob , an actress of Turkish descent, and his brother-in-law, the Grimme Prize winner Moritz Netenjakob , were already living.

Today Doğan performs solo programs in German, written by his brother-in-law, among others. Underneath is Thank You, Germany! , an allusion to his migration to Germany, initially with a visa for short-term work as an actor - which he himself called a comedy visa -, later a residence permit , settlement permit and naturalization that took place on December 1, 2010 . Doğan took part in various television programs, was an integral part of the last season of the television program Rent a Pocher and plays theater .
