Series construction site
A series construction site is a construction project on a traffic route that progresses in sections over long stretches, usually the rehabilitation of a railway line .
By merging all construction measures in one series construction site, time, costs and inconvenience for the passengers can be saved. In the case of double-track lines, serial construction sites are often implemented in such a way that single-track operation is maintained in the construction phase. By choosing the construction sections to be relatively short, construction-related delays can be kept to a minimum. If rail replacement traffic cannot be avoided, it will only be necessary over short distances for the same reason.
