Aitor González Jiménez (born February 27, 1975 in Zumarraga , Gipuzkoa ) is a former Spanish cyclist .

González had been a professional since 1998 and last drove for Euskaltel-Euskadi . Before that he rode for the professional cycling teams Kelme and Fassa Bortolo, among others . He has the following successes (small selection):

doping
Aitor González tested positive for steroids on the Tour of Spain in 2005. The Spanish association acquitted him of the doping offense allegation after González attributed the positive test result to the consumption of contaminated food supplements. The UCI did not recognize this acquittal, however, and brought about a two-year ban before the CAS, which lasted from September 2005 to September 2007.
