Wilfried Wesemael
Wilfried Wesemael (born January 31, 1950 in Aalst , Belgium ) is a former Belgian cyclist .
In 1973 he was a professional at the Belgian road cycling - Team Hertekamp . But even before he switched to the road, Wesemael celebrated important successes as an amateur in track cycling . In 1971 and 1972 he was Belgian champion in the team pursuit , in 1972 in the single pursuit and in 1973 in the Omnium and Madison . Wesemael celebrated his greatest success in 1979 when he won the Tour de Suisse with a lead of 4:43 minutes over Rudy Pevenage . In 1982 he ended his career.
