Mario Beccia
Mario Beccia (born August 16, 1955 in Troia , Italy ) is a former Italian professional cyclist .
Beccia began his professional career in 1977 with the Italian team Sanson . He celebrated his greatest success in 1980 when he won the Tour de Suisse with a lead of 2:12 minutes over the Swiss Josef Fuchs . In 1988 he ended his career and first worked as a sports director for smaller Italian teams before he was responsible for promoting professional cyclists at the clothing manufacturer Northwave . From 2006 to 2008 Beccia was the sporting director of the Volksbank-Vorarlberg team .
