Giro dell'Appennino

The Giro dell'Appennino is an Italian cycling race in the Apennines .

The one-day race was held for the first time in 1934 and has been held annually in April since 1946. From 2005 the race is part of the UCI Europe Tour and is classified in category 1.1. It is considered a preparatory race for the Giro d'Italia . The record winner is the Italian Gianbattista Baronchelli . He was able to win the Giro dell'Appennino six times in a row.
