Fabio Felline (born March 29, 1990 in Turin ) is an Italian road cyclist .
Career
In 2006 Fabio Felline was Italian champion in the individual time trial of the youth class. In 2010 he received his first contract for the Footon-Servetto team and won the Circuit de Lorraine in the same year . In 2012 he won the Giro dell'Appennino and the Marco Pantani Memorial .
Felline had competed in the Giro d'Italia four times by 2016 , his best placement was 43rd in 2013 . His only participation in the Tour de France in 2010 ended after nine stages. In autumn of that year he won the semi-classic Grand Prix de Fourmies .
Shortly before the start of the Amstel Gold Race 2016, Felline grabbed the front wheel of his bike at full speed, apparently to adjust the sensor on his bike computer and fell as a result. At first it was said that he had just broken his nose, later it turned out that he had also suffered a fractured skull base .
After his recovery, Felline won the points classification of the Vuelta a España in September 2016 . He took the lead in this special ranking by finishing third on the mountain finish on the penultimate stage of the tour. In the overall ranking he was 25. In 2017 he won the Trofeo Laigueglia and was Italian runner-up in the individual time trial. At the Tour de Romandie , he won the prologue and came fourth overall.
