Grand Prix de Fourmies

The Grand Prix de Fourmies is a French cycling race .

The one-day race , which usually has its date in mid-September and takes place around the French commune of Fourmies in the northern department , was held for the first time in 1928. In 1936 the race consisted of two half-stages, in 1960, 1962, 1972 and 1973 two stages each, both of which entered an overall standings. Since the introduction of the UCI Europe Tour in the 2005 season, the race has been part of this racing series and classified in category 1.1. The Grand Prix de Fourmies was also part of the Coupe de France , a series of French one-day races from 1992 to 2000 . Record winners are Albert Barthélémy and Jean-Luc Vandenbroucke who each won the race three times.
