Gilbert Duclos-Lassalle (nickname: Gibus ) (born August 25, 1954 in Lembeye , France) is a former French cyclist .

Athletic career

Duclos-Lassalle was a professional from 1977 to 1995 . In these years he won around 90 races, mainly one-day races such as the classic Paris – Roubaix , which he contested 17 times. He won Paris – Roubaix in 1992 and 1993 , having finished second in 1980 and 1983 respectively.

He also won the stage races Paris – Nice 1980 and Grand Prix Midi Libre 1991 as well as the endurance race Bordeaux – Paris 1983. Duclos-Lassalle took part in the Tour de France 13 times and finished it nine times; his best ranking was 28th in 1981 .

In track cycling , he became French champion in the single pursuit in 1984 and won five six-day races . In the later years of his cycling career he competed in 23 six-day races, five of which he won with changing partners.

Gilbert Duclos-Lassalle is the father of Hervé Duclos-Lassalle , who was also active as a cyclist.
