Tour de Picardy

The Tour de Picardie (English Picardy Tour ) was a French stage race in road cycling .

The tour took place annually in May in Picardy . It was launched by the Cyclo-Club Creillois and was first held in 1936 under the name Tour de l'Oise . In 2000 it was held once under the name Tour de l'Oise et de Picardie and since then as Tour de Picardie . Since the UCI Europe Tour was introduced in 2005, the race has been part of this racing series and is classified in category 2.1. Record winners are the Belgian Willy Teirlinck and the Dane Michael Sandstød with two wins each .
