Frédéric Moncassin (born September 26, 1968 in Toulouse ) is a former French cyclist . Between 1990 and 1999 he rode for the cycling teams Castorama , WordPerfect , Novell , Gan and Crédit Agricole .

Career

He won two stages in the 1996 Tour de France and finished second in the green jersey classification behind Erik Zabel . Moncassin was the French national coach until 2008. He then moved to the Canadian team TelTeck-H20 . He was succeeded in office by Laurent Jalabert .

From August 2009 he was the owner of a bicycle shop on avenue du Maréchal Foch in Saint-Girons . Moncassin also lives with his family near the Pyrenees town. He now runs a guest house for cyclists.
