Willy Teirlinck (born June 10, 1948 in Teralfene ) is a former Belgian cyclist .

Willy Teirlinck was a professional athlete from 1970 to 1986 . During this time he was able to record 96 victories, including the 1975 Belgian road championship. He competed ten times in the Tour de France , won five stages and in 1973 he wore the yellow jersey for one day . He also achieved stage wins in large and small tours such as the Germany Tour and the Vuelta a España . In 1973 he won the Grand Prix de Fourmies , in 1976 the Grand Prix Pino Cerami and in 1977 and 1978 the Tour de Picardie .

In his last year as a professional, Teirlinck drove for the “Sigma Coatings” team, for which he then acted as the sports director. Willy Teirlinck has been working for the sports administration in his home town of Affligem since 2005 and teaches cycling. The “Willy Teirlinck Classic” race is held annually in Liedekerke .
