Geert Omloop (born February 12, 1974 in Herentals ) is a former Belgian cyclist .

Geert Omloop started his career in 1997. Two years later he won the Omloop van het Waasland . From the 2000 season he drove at Collstrop . Omloop is a specialist in the so-called "fair races", criteria that take place in Belgium as part of annual fairs. In 2002 he won the Nationale Sluitingsprijs , his first major victory. At the Belgian championship he surprisingly won the title in 2003, and the following year he finished second behind Tom Steels .

At the end of the 2010 season, Omloop ended his career as a professional cyclist. He comes from a cycling family: his father Marcel , his cousin Wim and his uncle Henri Omloop were also racing cyclists.
