Gustave Danneels (born September 6, 1913 in Loos-en-Gohelle , † April 13, 1976 in Knokke ) was a Belgian cyclist .

Gustave Danneels was a professional cyclist from 1934 to 1946. During this time he was twice - in 1934 and 1935 - third in the road world championship . He won the Paris-Tours race three times (1934, 1936 and 1937) , which is why he was nicknamed "Mijnheer Parijs-Tours" in his home country. He was Belgian road champion three times, once as a junior.

In 1936 Danneels was the first cyclist to receive the “ Yellow Ribbon ” award for his victory at Paris-Tours , which was awarded to the rider who achieved the fastest average speed on a classic over 200 km longer. In 1943 he and Albert Buysse won the Prix ​​Dupré-Lapize rail competition in Paris .

Danneels was an uncle of the racing drivers Wilfried and Guido Reybrouck , who also won Paris Tours three times in 1964, 1996 and 1968.
