Ludovic Capelle

Ludovic Capelle (born February 27, 1976 in Namur ) is a former Belgian cyclist .

Career

After Capelle won the U23 edition of the classic in 1996, he drove as a stagiaire for the Italian UCI team . He stayed in the U23 age group in 1997 and drove again as a stagiaire in autumn, this time with the Belgian Lotto-Mobistar team .

In 1998 Capelle became a professional for the Home Market-Ville de Charleroi team. His greatest successes included the Belgian championship title in 2001 and victory in the one-day race at the Grote Scheldeprijs in 2003.

In 2005 Capelle was banned for 18 months for doping with EPO . After his doping ban he could no longer build on his previous successes. Capelle has not been registered with an international team since 2010.
