Marcel Kint (born September 20, 1914 in Zwevegem , † March 23, 2002 in Kortrijk ) was a Belgian cyclist.

Marcel Kint by professional racing driver from 1935 to 1951. In these years he achieved over 120 victories. In 1938 he became road world champion , in 1946 he became vice world champion . In 1936 he also won three stages of the Tour de France . Above all, however, he was a specialist in one-day races such as the classics and semi-classics: He won prestigious races such as Antwerp – Gent – ​​Antwerp (1936 and 1939), Nokere Koerse (1944), Gent – ​​Wevelgem (1949), Paris -Brussels (1938) and Paris – Roubaix (1943). He also won the six-day race in Brussels twice with Rik Van Steenbergen . He was nicknamed De Zwarte Arend ( Black Eagle ).

Before the end of his cycling career, Kint opened a bicycle shop in Kortrijk as well as the Valkenburg café (in Valkenburg he had become world champion). He became a sought-after bicycle maker. In 1954 he founded a wholesaler for bicycles and bicycle accessories, which has been run by the third generation of the Kint family since 2011.

Since 1930, the Grote Prijs Marcel Kint has been held in Kint's birthplace, Zwevegem , which the namesake won himself in 1935. The Marcel Kint tourist cycle route leads from Zwevegem to Kortrijk. His grandchildren run the retro bicycle shop het salon by marcel kint in Kortrijk in his grandfather's former apartment with the original furniture .
