Frederic Maurice Desimpelaere (born May 28, 1920 in Ledegem , † January 30, 2005 in Wevelgem ) was a Belgian cyclist .

Maurice Desimpelaere was a professional cyclist from 1942 to 1950. In 1944 he won Paris – Roubaix , and the following year he was fifth. In 1945 he finished second in the first Omloop Het Volk . In 1946 he won across Flanders and in 1947 the Gent – ​​Wevelgem race , in which he had finished second the year before. In 1947 he finished second in the Walloon Arrow . In 1949 he was ninth in each of Milan – Sanremo and the Tour of Flanders .
