The Grote Prijs Marcel Kint is a cycling race that has been held every September in the Belgian city ​​of Zwevegem since 1930 . The race is named after the cyclist Marcel Kint , who died in 2002 and was road world champion from 1938 . The race has been classified in UCI category 1.2 since 2016 and is part of the UCI Europe Tour .

Initially the race was called Grote Prijs van Zwevegem , in 1942 it was named after Marcel Kint, who came from the town. In 1965, 1966 and 1967 it was held as a criterion . In 1966 there was also a race behind Dernys , which was won by the British Tom Simpson . The events in 1987 and 1988 were national competitions with longer distances than usual.

With Marcel Kint himself (1935) and Baptiste Planckaert (2011 and 2015) two cyclists born in Zwevegem have won the race so far. The record winner with four successes is Jef Planckaert .
