Roger Ilegems (born December 13, 1962 in Niel ) is a former Belgian cyclist .

At the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles , he won the gold medal in the points race, in the team pursuit over 4000 meters, he was eighth. His coach at the time was Patrick Sercu , who had also become Olympic champion twenty years earlier.

Ilegems was a professional from 1984 to 1991. He was able to celebrate some victories in one-day and stage races of minor importance. But he never succeeded in confirming his Olympic victory, apart from the bronze medal in the points race at the 1987 World Championships in Vienna . In 1991 he resigned from top-class sport.
