André Dierickx (born October 29, 1946 in Oudenaarde , East Flanders Province , Belgium ) is a former professional Belgian cyclist .
Career
As an amateur, he won the Tour of Flanders for amateurs in 1968. The period between 1970 and 1976 can be counted as the most successful period as a professional, because in addition to the two victories at La Flèche Wallonne in 1973 and 1975, the victory at the championship in Zurich in 1973 and some very good results at the Tour of Flanders , Paris-Roubaix and Liège – Bastogne – Liège fall into this period. In 1981 he resigned from professional cycling .
