Jean Graczyk
Jean Graczyk (born May 26, 1933 in Neuvy-sur-Barangeon , † June 27, 2004 in Vierzon ) was a French cyclist .
Graczyk celebrated his first success in 1955 by winning the Paris-Vierzon cycling race . In 1956 he became French road cycling champion and team pursuit champion . In 1956 he also started at the Olympic Games in Melbourne and won silver team pursuit, with Jean-Claude Lecante , Michel Vermeulin and René Bianchi .
In 1957 Graczyk gave up his amateur status and joined the Helyett-Potin team. Here he won the green jersey twice, in 1958 and 1960 , at the Tour de France . He recorded a total of five stage wins.
Graczyk was also successful at the Vuelta a España , where he also celebrated five stage victories between 1958 and 1962.
He won a total of 65 individual races in his career.
