Serge Bodin

Serge Bodin (born September 1, 1962 in Rennes ) is a former French cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

His first major success as an amateur was the victories in the stage races Tour de la Manche and Tour du Saosnois 1986. He started first for the club VC Rennes , later moved to CSM Puteaux . Two years later he won the French championship for amateurs in road racing ahead of Laurent Madouas . After that he finished second in eleven races in the jersey of the French champions, but was unable to win until the end of the season. In 1989 he became a professional driver in the Fagor team . He ended his career after only one year when the sponsor dissolved the team and he did not get a new contract with another team.
