Daniel Amardeilh

Daniel Amardeilh (born July 25, 1959 in Saint-Victor-Rouzaud ) is a former French cyclist and national cycling champion .

Athletic career

His first major victory was the Paris - Montargis race in 1979, one of the oldest street races for amateurs in France. In the same year he was third in the amateur edition of Paris-Roubaix , which Marc Madiot (who later became professional and team leader ) won. Amardeilh managed to win the French championship in road racing for amateurs in 1984 and defend the title a year later. In 1984 he was nominated by his association for the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angelos . There he drove the road race and was classified as 28th. In 1985 he was at the start of the Tour de l'Avenir and finished eighth there. He won a stage in the Tour of Yugoslavia . At the end of 1985 he ended his career.
