Mladé depot

The Mladé Depot (also Hortfund von Mladé ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Mladé , a district of Budweis in Jihočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. The depot is located in the South Bohemian Museum in Budweis.

Find history

The depot was discovered in a sand pit in 1955. Three other Aunjetitz culture depots are known from the urban area of ​​Budweis: the Budweis depot , the Nové Vráto depot and the Suché Vrbné depot .

composition

The depot consists of nine bronze eyelet neck rings . The rings have a circular cross-section and thinned ends. Their surface is faceted . They have lengths between 170 mm and 175 mm and widths between 150 mm and 152 mm. Their weight is between 201 g and 204 g. The total weight of the items is 1.912 kg. Four specimens were broken and deformed when found.
