The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 1992 was the 90th edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, April 12, 1992.

The race led from Compiègne , around 80 kilometers north of Paris , to Roubaix , where it ended in the Vélodrome André-Pétrieux . The entire route was 267.5 kilometers long. 151 drivers started, 84 of whom were able to place. The winner Gilbert Duclos-Lassalle completed the race with an average speed of 41.48  km / h .

The decision was made quite early: Gilbert Duclos-Lassalle, Rik Van Slycke , Thomas Wegmüller and Jean-Paul van Poppel left the peloton with 90 kilometers to go . In Ennevelin , 40 kilometers from Roubaix, Duclos-Lassalle drove off alone. Olaf Ludwig followed him, but could no longer close the gap. Gibus won Paris – Roubaix at his twelfth participation at the age of 37 , after finishing second in 1980 and 1983 .
