The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 1977 was the 75th edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, April 17th, 1977.

The race led from Compiègne for the first time , around 80 kilometers north of Paris , to Roubaix , where it ended in the Vélodrome André-Pétrieux . The entire route was 250.5 kilometers long. 149 drivers started, 43 of whom were able to place. The winner Roger De Vlaeminck completed the race at an average speed of 40.464 km / h .

30 kilometers from the finish there was a leading group of 22 drivers. Shortly afterwards, Roger De Vlaeminck “flew away” and was “never seen again”. Monsieur Paris-Roubaix took his fourth victory in this race.

The German driver Dietrich Thurau finished eighth.
