The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 1937 was the 38th edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, March 28th, 1937.

The race led from Argenteuil via Pontoise , Méru , Beauvais , Breteuil , Amiens , Doullens , Arras , Hénin-Liétard and Seclin to Roubaix , where it ended on Avenue Gustave Delory (previously Avenue les Villas ). The route was 255 kilometers long. 159 drivers started, of which 50 were able to place. The winner Jules Rossi completed the race with an average speed of 34.93 km / h .

The race was accompanied by heavy rain. Jules Rossi arrived in Roubaix with four Belgian drivers. All five drivers wanted to win and therefore failed to coordinate their tactics. Two kilometers from the finish, Rossi made such a strong sprint that none of the other drivers was able to follow him. Rossi won the race by several bike lengths. He was the first Italian to win Paris – Roubaix .
