The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 1958 was the 56th edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, April 13, 1958.

The race led from Saint-Denis , north of Paris , to Roubaix , where it ended in the Vélodrome André-Pétrieux . The route was 269 kilometers long. 76 drivers were able to place themselves. The winner Leon Vandaele completed the race at an average speed of 33.30 km / h .

Jacques Anquetil had run away and was in the lead, but three kilometers from the finish he had a flat tire . At the entrance to the velodrome were Seamus Elliott and Roger Verplaetse 20 meters ahead of the peloton , but were overtaken even by a group of 22 riders. 300 meters from the finish line, Vandaele was able to pull away and win. Anquetil eventually turned 14.
