The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 1933 was the 34th edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, April 16, 1933.

The race went from Argenteuil over 255 kilometers. 129 racing drivers started, 44 of whom were able to place. The winner Sylvère Maes completed the race at an average speed of 36.52 km / h .

Sylvère Maes launched an attack in Beauvais , and Julien Vervaecke , Antonin Magne and the Austrian Karl Thallinger followed him. Vervaecke increased the pace on the slope at Doullens and only Maes could follow him. In Roubaix itself, Maes Vervaecke left several bike lengths behind and celebrated his first big win. In 1936 and 1939 he won the Tour de France .
