The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 1926 was the 27th edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, April 4th, 1926.

The race lasted 270 kilometers and started in Vésinet . 147 racing drivers took part, 86 of whom were able to place. The winner Julien Delbecque completed the race with an average speed of 35.63 km / h .

After an early morning downpour, the roads were wet and muddy. Henri Pélissier determined the course of the race by constantly attacking, creating a small leading group. But it was stopped by a tire failure , so that Delbecque and Gustaaf Van Slembrouck negotiated the final on the Avenue des Villas in Roubaix . While Delbecque won the sprint, he waved both hands into the audience.
