Castor Notter

Kastor Notter (born February 16, 1903 in Niederrohrdorf , † January 9, 1950 in Baden ) was a Swiss cyclist .

Kastor Notter was one of the best road racing drivers in Switzerland in the 1920s. His biggest competitor was Heiri Suter , who was also his best friend. The two contested numerous international road races together and celebrated double victories many times. Notter was Swiss road champion three times. In 1926 he took second place at Paris-Tours (behind Suter and in front of Nicolas Frantz , who later won the Tour de France twice ), around Cologne and around the Hainleite . In 1927 he won the championship in Zurich . In that year he was under contract with the German racing team MIFA and won the race across Bavaria in Germany .

For health reasons, Notter had to end his cycling career in 1928. He died at the age of 46.
