Albert Blattmann

Albert Blattmann (born September 8, 1904 in Zurich , † May 19, 1967 in Bern ) was a Swiss cyclist .

Athletic career

Albert Blattmann, member of the Zurich cycling club, was part of Switzerland's cycling elite in the 1920s. He was Swiss champion four times, in 1924 in cyclocross and in team pursuit on the track, in 1925 again in team pursuit and in 1928 on the road. In 1926 he won the Bern Tour and the Zurich Championship . In 1927 he was the winner of Rund um Leipzig .

Blattmann took part in the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris and took fourth place in both individual and team driving (with Georges Antenen , Otto Lehner and Fritz Bossi ) on the road. His brother Walter was also a successful cyclist.
