Charles Guyot

Charles Guyot (born August 4, 1890 in Saint-Imier , † April 30, 1958 ) was a Swiss cyclist .

Charles Guyot belonged to the first generation of Swiss road drivers. He was Swiss road champion twice, in 1909 and 1910, and also Swiss mountain champion in 1917. He won the Bern-Geneva race twice (1917 and 1921) and the Tour of Bern in 1924 .

In 1910 Guyot took part in the "Tour de France des Independents" and took third place in the overall standings.

Charles Guyot initiated the construction of a cycle track in La Chaux-de-Fonds , which he himself did by hand. However, the wooden railway only existed for a few years.

His son named Charles Guyot (1925–1973) was also a successful cyclist. B. 1947 the championship of Zurich .
