Daniel Steiger (born June 27, 1993 ) is a Swiss floorball player . He is under contract with the National League A representative Grasshopper Club Zurich .

Career

Iron Marmots Davos-Klosters

Steiger began his career at Iron Marmots Davos-Klosters . He went through all junior stations with the Marmots. In 2009 he was nominated and used for a first-team competitive game for the first time. In the same season he completed another game.

He then played both in the U21 team and in the first team of the Bündner.

In 2013/14 he played exclusively for the first team of the Marmots. He scored 13 hits and three assists in 21 games in National League B.

NST Laapenranta

After his first strong season in the NLB, he moved to the top Finnish league to NST Lappeenranta.

In his first season at NST, he scored seven goals and ten assists in 26 games. Steiger finished the season with NST Lappeenranta in 10th place and did not qualify for the play-offs, but was able to bypass the play-outs. After the season, the club extended the contract with the striker for another year.

In the second season, both the club from Lappeenranta , as well as Steiger could no longer build on the performance of the previous season. He scored only two hits and five assists in 25 games . After the regular season, the club finished the season on the 14th and last final rank. The 14th final rank was for Steiger and NST Lappeenranta synonymous with relegation to the second highest Finnish league.

Grasshopper Club Zurich

After the championship title of the 2015/16 season, the Grasshopper Club Zurich announced the commitment of the Swiss. In his first season with Zurich, he won the Swiss Cup on February 25, 2017 with the Grasshoppers.
