Erich Mächler

Erich Mächler (born September 24, 1960 in Hochdorf, Canton Lucerne ) is a former Swiss cyclist .

Erich Mächler was a professional racing driver from 1982 to 1996. His most successful year was 1987 when he wore the yellow jersey for six days at the Tour de France and won the Milan – Sanremo race. In total, Mächler started the "Tour" nine times.

In 1982 and 1992 Mächler won the Tour of Bern and in 1988 Tirreno – Adriatico , several times in the Tour de Suisse . In 1984 he became Swiss road champion.

Today Mächler runs the bicycle shop “Wheels and more” in Kriens .
