Grégory Rast (born January 17, 1980 in Ebikon ) is a former Swiss cyclist .

Career

Rast was a member of the RMV Cham-Hagendorn club and was U23 Swiss road champion in 2002 and began his professional career a year later with the Phonak Cycling Team . In 2004 and 2006 he was elite Swiss champion. Rast started in the road race at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and finished eighth. His first success in a UCI ProTour competition was on the sixth stage of the Tour de Suisse 2013 between Leuggern and Meilen , which he won in a sprint of a six-man breakaway group.

Before starting his cycling career, he learned the profession of plumber.
