Gabriele Colombo

Gabriele Colombo (born May 11, 1972 in Varese ) is a former Italian cyclist .

Athletic career

Gabriele Colombo began his career in 1994 with the Italian cycling formation Gewiss-Ballan . He took part in the Tour de France for the first time in 1995 and won a stage. A year later he celebrated his greatest success when he won the Milan-San Remo Cycling Monument . In the same year he was also able to win the Giro di Sardegna .

In 1999 he moved to Cantina Tollo , where he finished third again in 2001 on a stage of the Giro d'Italia . After moving to Domina Vacanze , he was second again in 2003 behind Fabio Baldato . In 2007 Colombo ended his cycling career.
