Fabio Baldato (born June 13, 1968 in Lonigo ) is an Italian sporting director in cycling, former cyclist and two-time Olympian (1988, 1996).
Athletic career
Fabio Baldato began his career as a professional cyclist in 1991 and has since ridden for Fassa Bortolo and Alessio-Bianchi, among others . In 2006 he drove for the Italian Professional Continental Team Tenax Salmilano , which had an Irish license. From 2007 he was represented in the ProTour again and drove for Lampre-Fondital .
Baldato competed at the Olympic Games twice - in 1988 and 1996 . In 1988 in Seoul , together with the Italian team ( Ivan Beltrami , Gianpaolo Grisandi , David Solari and Fabrizio Trezzi ), he finished sixth in the team pursuit on the track , eight years later in Atlanta in seventh place in the road race .
