Ivan Beltrami (born June 27, 1969 in Riva del Garda ) is an Italian entrepreneur and former cyclist .

Athletic career

Ivan Beltrami - "extroverted teenager and a bit rebel" - initially played tennis and surfed on Lake Garda , until a friend of his father's brought him to cycling as a teenager.

1987 Beltrami was junior vice world champion in the team pursuit and two-time national junior champion in the single and the team pursuit. In both 1988 and 1989 he started with the amateurs and again won two Italian titles in the pursuit competitions. In 1988 he also exhibited at the velodrome from Busto Garolfo to an Italian record in the individual pursuit over 4000 meters. In 1991 he won silver in the singles pursuit at the Mediterranean Games . In 1990 he won the Vicenza-Bionde race and was Italian team time trial champion with the Euromobil Zalf team .

In 1988 and 1992 Beltrami competed in individual and team pursuits at the Olympic Games : in 1988 and 1992 he finished eighth in the individual pursuit, in 1988 he was sixth with Gianpaolo Grisandi , David Solari , Fabrizio Trezzi and Fabio Baldato and in 1992 with Rossano Brasi , Ivan Cerioli and Giovanni Lombardi fourth in the team pursuit.

Professional

In 1992 Beltrami ended his cycling career. He then worked in the family business in Nago-Torbole , which grew out of a café. The Meckis company manufactures sports and casual wear.
