Hans Lüthi

Hans Lüthi (born March 15, 1939 in Solothurn ) is a former Swiss cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Lüthi began cycling in 1955. In 1960 he qualified for what was then the A-class for amateurs in Switzerland with victory in the Limmental Tour. In 1964 he was able to win the national title in the road race and defend the title a year later. In addition, he won the team time trial title with his club . 15 more victories were added that season, including a. two stage wins in the Tour of Mexico . Since 1963 he started in standing races and in 1963 was able to achieve third place in the national championship. In 1964 he was a participant in the Summer Olympics in Tokyo , in road races and in the team time trial, he finished 16th in 1964 and in 1965 he was the best of the year in the Swiss Association's rating. At the UCI Road World Championships in 1966 on the Nürburgring , he finished 43rd in the amateur road race .
