Hansruedi Dubach

Hansruedi Dubach (born February 7, 1937 in Egg ) is a former cyclist from Switzerland and Swiss champion in cycling .

Athletic career

He started cycling in 1954 and was able to win a race in the first year. In 1956 he won the national championship in cross-country amateurs. With the victory in the East-Swiss Tour, he qualified for the A-class of the amateurs in Switzerland at the time. In 1957 he won the national title in the amateur road race. After graduating from recruiting school in 1957, he became a professional driver in 1958 with a contract with Team Cilo . He was able to achieve some top places among the professionals, but ended his career in 1959 after a sports injury.

Professional

Dubach completed an apprenticeship as a mechanic.
