Walter Blattmann (born June 1, 1910 in Zurich ; † October 1, 1965 there ) was a Swiss cyclist.

Walter Blattmann was a professional cyclist from 1931 to 1938. At the UCI Road World Championships in Copenhagen in 1931 , he finished eleventh in the road race . In 1933 he celebrated three great successes: he won the Grand Prix of Basel , became Swiss champion in cross-country racing and won the championship in Zurich . The following year he was the winner of the Tour of Northwestern Switzerland and the Tour du Lac Léman , and came third in the Swiss Road Championship. In 1935 he finished ninth in the overall ranking of the Vuelta a España . At the Tour de Suisse he finished ninth in 1933 , fourth in 1936 and third in 1937 . He started twice in the Tour de France , in 1933 he finished 30th in the overall standings, in 1934 he gave up after the second stage.

Blattmann's brother Albert was also a successful cyclist. His son Peter is honorary president of the Zurich cycling club and has been jointly responsible for organizing the Zurich championship for years (as of 2015).
