The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 1969 was the 67th edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, April 13, 1969.

The race led from Chantilly , around 50 kilometers north of Paris , to Roubaix , where it ended in the Vélodrome André-Pétrieux . The entire route was 264 kilometers long. 154 drivers started, 35 of whom were able to place. The winner Walter Godefroot completed the race with an average speed of 39.00 km / h .

After the forest of Arenberg there was a leading group of 28 riders. 60 kilometers from the finish, Walter Godefroot broke away and pulled a group of seven riders with him. These included Eric Leman and three other Flandria drivers . Godefroot broke away from this group and drove to victory alone. In the end, Leman couldn't place himself. Rudi Altig took 14th place and Dieter Puschel came 29th.
