The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 1925 was the 26th edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, April 12th, 1925.
The race went from Le Vésinet over 260 kilometers. 126 racing drivers started, 56 of whom were able to place. The winner Félix Sellier completed the race with an average speed of 28.03 km / h .
At the start there was also a larger Italian delegation for the first time, including the two stars Costante Girardengo and Alfredo Binda . Binda tried to break away, but the Pélissier brothers knew how to prevent it. The peloton stayed together, so that 37 riders together reached Avenue des Villas in Roubaix. The three-time winner of Paris – Brussels , Félix Sellier, passed Jules Vanhevel and beat what was probably the strongest field of drivers in this race up to that point. Pietro Bestetti finished second, making him the first Italian on the podium at Paris – Roubaix .
