André Leducq

The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 1928 was the 29th edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, April 8th, 1928.

The race went from Le Vésinet over 260 kilometers. 89 racing drivers started, of which 52 were able to place. The winner André Leducq completed the race at an average speed of 33.60 km / h .

Right from the start, the race was marked by attacks. The defining moment, however, was in Arras when last year's winner, Georges Ronsse , ran away. Charles Pélissier and Charles Meunier attached themselves to his rear wheel and later Leducq and Gaston Rebry joined them. However, Pélissier became hungry , stopped to look for an inn, and Rebry had stomach problems. Leducq won the race on Avenue les Villas in Roubaix by several bike lengths ahead of Ronsse.
