Achille Souchard (born May 17, 1900 in Le Mans , † September 21, 1976 in Paris ) was a French racing cyclist .

1920 Achille Souchard won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Antwerp in collaboration with Marcel Gobillot , Georges Detreille and Fernand Canteloube in road cycling - team competition . In 1920 and 1922 he won the Paris-Evreux amateur race . In 1922 and 1923 he became French champion in the amateur road race .

In 1925 Souchard joined the professionals . In the same year he became French professional champion and won the Critérium des As and the Giro della provincia Milano , together with Roland Bellenger . In 1926 he was two-time French champion, in road racing and in the individual time trial .
