René Jean Le Grevès (born June 6 or July 6, 1910 in Paris , † February 25, 1946 in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains ) was a French cyclist .

In 1930 René Le Grevès started at the World Road Championships for amateurs and finished fourth, in 1931 he was 15. In 1932 he took part in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles and won in the team pursuit on the track together with Paul Chocque , Henri Mouillefarine and Amédée Fournier the silver medal.

The following year, Le Grevès joined the professionals . In the following years he contested the Tour de France six times and decided a total of 16 stages for himself. In his day he was considered one of the best sprinters on the tour.

In 1935 René Le Grevès won Paris-Tours , the Critérium International and the Circuit de Morbihan . In 1936 he became French road racing champion . In 1937 he won the Critérium again, but had to share first place with Roger Lapébie .

In the same year, Le Grevès and his brother Louis opened a bicycle shop in Paris, which was reopened in Suresnes after the war and was owned by the descendants. In February 1946 he was killed in a skiing accident.
